OwnYou began in 2023 with a single bench, a half-moon knife and a conviction that a wallet should outlive the trousers it lives in.
We do not correct the hide.
Most luxury leather is buffed smooth and sprayed with pigment to hide insect bites, fence scars and growth marks. We leave them. Full-grain means the outermost, strongest layer of the hide stays intact — the reason our pieces darken and soften instead of cracking and peeling.
Nine hours go into a bifold. Thirty-one into a messenger. Every seam is a saddle stitch: two needles, one thread, locked at every hole — so a cut stitch never unravels the row.
Sourcing
Family tanneries in Chennai and Kanpur — both pit-tanning with bark liquors over 30 days, never chrome salts.
Craft
Cut, skived, glued, saddle-stitched and edge-burnished by one artisan, who signs the inside seam.

To replace ten disposable objects with one that outlives them, and to make it feel like yours from day one.
